New To MySpace

If you're totally new to MySpace and want one of those really cool layouts everyone has, then listen up. I'll tell you how to get one and put it on your page. It's very easy and you'll think so too when I get through with you.

Well, the first thing you have to do is go to one of the sites that creates the codes for the layouts, pick the layout you want, get the code, place it in your MySpace page and save it. Since you're totally new I will walk you through it step by step.

First you go to a site such as http://www.ourawesomeworld.com/ and pick out your layout. Now let's say for this example that you like the "Lost Layout". Underneath the picture of the layout preview you will see a box with a code in it. Click on that box then you can either right click to copy it or press Ctrl and C (at the same time). That will copy your code.

You then go to your MySpace page and Click "Edit Profile" on the top left side. You will see lots of empty boxes. Look for the section that says "About Me" and paste the code by either right clicking and pasting it or pressing Ctrl and V (at the same time). If you have stuff about yourself there it's OK just put the code underneath it.

Just above your "About Me" section you will find the "Save" button. Click it. Look at the top right side and find where it says "View My Profile" and click that. You will now have the layout you desired.

When you decide to change your layout you must delete the code you have just entered then paste the new code. If you don't it will not work. If you are unsure that you like the new layout save your old code on a word processor such as Microsoft Word or even the notepad on your computer so you will still have it in case you want to switch it back.

Always save your work after you have changed your layout. If you forget to click "Save" then your layout will still look the way it did before you made any changes.
